Cape Amber Luxury Resort

This 5-star resort has been called "the most relaxing place on the planet", and is the most luxurious offering Belize has ever seen. When Broadwave was tasked to create the entire Cape Amber site, from concept to completion, the mission and challenge was clear. Create an online experience that would match the 5-star environment of the Cape Amber resort.

Starting with a new logo design, the Broadwave team took a methodical and "anything goes" approach to the design and interactivity of the site. It was clear early in the project that this could be no ordinary site, this Cape Amber site needed to be "outside the box" and present an experience that users have never seen before.

Using a larger "Hero Flash" area on the home page, Broadwave Studios built an online experience to bring Cape Amber to the screen. This Flash environment brings the visitor as close to a real life view of Cape Amber as possible, using interactive elements and scenery that moves, makes sound and goes beyond what you expect from traditional web sites.

All of the animation from this Hero Area was started with a single photograph. From there we started animating waves, clouds moving, a boat in the distance, and more all with click functionality. By clicking on each portion of the flash animation it allows visitors to learn more about the resort and Belize as a location. On top of that Broadwave Studios built in an interactive Photo Gallery to bring the users that much closer to the experience.
